About Us
Employment Planning and Counselling – Peterborough was founded in 1982 by Bill O’Byrne, a pioneer in the career and employment service industry. It was incorporated as a not-for-profit organization under the name Employment Planning and Youth Career Centre (EPYC Centre) the same year, providing specialized services exclusively to youth. This was one of the first youth employment centres in Ontario.
In 1986, Registered Charity status was acquired and soon after, services were expanded to include all demographics, with a name change in 1996 to Employment Planning & Counselling-Peterborough. We rebranded in 2011 as EPC which is how we are known today.
